Fabulous Felines – #133 – life on mars

I watched the live stream on February 18 of the Perseverance landing on Mars. I was very excited to see the first photo transmitted from the planet’s surface. Imagine my surprise when Freddie’s head popped up! He’s gone missing before but this is the farthest from home he has ever traveled. Fortunately the Starship Enterprise was in the vicinity and was able to transport him home.

Nobody has been using the cat condo lately so I decided to take it over as a foot rest while watching TV.Β  Of course as soon as I did that, Frankie figured out it was the perfect place for him to hang out. CATS!

And I wonder why my clothes always come out of the dryer covered with cat hairs. Don’t worry, I had the setting on delicates so he didn’t shrink too much!

I am an explorer and creative person. I've had many jobs, careers and interests... everything in life and the universe fascinates me. Born in Brighton, England, I've lived my entire adult life in Los Angeles, California. A few years ago I rediscovered photography which is a great excuse to get outside and look. I'm also in the process of re-writing some of my unpublished short stories and possibly a novel. .

  1. My feedreader is broke so I missed many new blog posts I finally realized, so I am going down my backup blog bookmark list one by one! I watched the Mars lander live as well, and I was as surprised as you were to see Freddie’s face pop up! I notice that just moving an object to a different spot makes it more cat-interesting. I have to be very careful to keep cats out of the laundry room and the machines. Why are the machines so fascinating, or is it just that they are warm?

    • The good news is you didn’t miss any of my posts! I haven’t been able to visit WordPress for a while. I’m involved in a project that may or may not work out but I’m stuck for the time being. Also my computer seems to have developed dementia or Alzheimer’s… I shut it down at night and in the morning I have to start from scratch… waking up programs, reinstalling icons, signing into things… etc etc etc. The data is all still there, fortunately, but I have to wade through time consuming actions to get to it! Because of said project I can’t afford to have the computer down for hours or days while I figure it out. On top of that I have car problems and plumbing problems. What did I do? As for the computer, I am 99% sure Freddie did something irreversible but he won’t tell me what it was!!!
Yup, you are right… I should have known better than to move the cat condo for my purposes. I had to move pots and pans out of the kitchen to store them temporarily in the bedroom in boxes… and of course Chief Inspector Freddie was on the job immediately!
