Feline Friday – #60 – we got our deck back, finally…

Freddie and Frankie

Since last summer construction has been going on next door. Bang bang. Whomp whomp. Shudder shudder. Was that an earthquake?

And not our taste in music either. Waaa waaaa doo dah.

Yes it’s been a tough few months. And just as the noisy construction was tapering off (after numerous false promises that it was the last week and the last day…) we were deluged with rain.

Freddie, Frankie and I are happy for our neighbors after converting their two-bed condo into a three-bed with a much better use of their space.

But we’re even happier that a week ago we were able to reclaim our roof deck for an early evening glass of wine. (Well, one of us drank the wine, the other two did not indulge.)

Aaaahhhhh, peace! And the rains are tapering off too. So nice to see the sun. Life is good.

I am an explorer and creative person. I've had many jobs, careers and interests... everything in life and the universe fascinates me. Born in Brighton, England, I've lived my entire adult life in Los Angeles, California. A few years ago I rediscovered photography which is a great excuse to get outside and look. I'm also in the process of re-writing some of my unpublished short stories and possibly a novel. .

  1. I absolutely love that second shot😄😻

  2. Enjoy the new roof deck, I’m sure it’s nice. Great photos!

  3. We have a screened porch which is wonderful when the weather is warm. Early on our neighbors built their house on the lot next door. It was 6 months of dirt, noise and boomba boxes blasting. I was never so glad to see construction done! It took until grass grew to stop the dust in the porch. All the lots are completed in our development. Yay! Even when it’s not next door there is noise, dirt and big trucks all over. Enjoy your newly recaptured deck.
