Feline Friday – #57 – curling cats

frankie and freddie

I decided to have a contest to see who could make the best curl on the top of the cat condo. Frankie and Freddie were the two finalists.

I think it’s a tie.

Frankie (top photo) fits very snugly into the space with a perfect back-paws-staggered position. 10 points overall.

Freddie slops over the edges but still maintains a good balance with a flawless front-paw-crossed-over-back-paw position which is very hard to maintain. 10 points overall.

Good work boys!

I came across this National Geographic article about small wild cats. Who knew there were so many?  Of the world’s 38 wildcat species, 31 are considered small cats. This is a very thorough article but if you don’t have time to read the whole thing, you will definitely enjoy looking at all the photos… just keep scrolling down. I kept going back and trying to pick my favorite but I love them all…. however, if I had to pick just one…. maybe the Fishing Cat. Oh, I don’t know!

  1. Now that’s a fun contest!

  2. LOL! I think they both need bigger beds!

  3. I scrutinized both photos and I think you hit it spot on!
