For your viewing pleasure, here are some more random shots of Los Angeles Grand Park which I visited on a hot Sunday afternoon a few weeks ago.
You can visit Part One by clicking here. These photos may not have made the first cut but they are no less worthy and as I was looking at them I decided they needed to be included in the post to complete the picture of the park, so to speak. As promised, Part Two will be photos of the fountain. So I had to call this Part One and a Half!
Looking across the lawn to some of the buildings that make up the Civic Center. Los Angeles’ Civic Center is spread out over several blocks and is second in size only to Washington DC.
Whenever I talk about Grand Park to anybody who has been there, the first thing they mention is those hot pink tables and chairs!
View towards the Music Center.
I can imagine on a week day at lunchtime this place is bustling with city and county and courthouse workers.
Looking towards City Hall peeking through the trees on the east end.
A view to the south. The Los Angeles Times Building center (with red tile roof) and right.
Grand Park is on a hill, so there are steps and ramps between each section of the park as it crosses the major streets that intersect it.
And our parting shot… some colorful low-lying bougainvillea.
